A Marrakech corporate retreat works best in a private villa: one gated estate with a bedroom for every colleague, rooms to meet in, a chef, and no other guests. Direct flights leave from five London airports, and the right house takes a team of ten to more than twenty with a room each.

Why Marrakech works for team offsites
Getting there is easy. Marrakesh Menara Airport handled 9.3 million passengers in 2024, with direct routes from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and Southend, as well as Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid and other European hubs.
The city is used to international gatherings. It hosted the COP22 UN climate conference in November 2016 and the IMF and World Bank Group Annual Meetings in October 2023.
For British staff, the paperwork is light. The GOV.UK entry requirements for Morocco say British citizens can visit for up to 90 days without a visa for tourism, with a passport valid for at least three months after arrival. Check the current advice for business travel, and for any colleagues on other passports, before you book.
A villa gives a team what a hotel ballroom cannot: one address, no strangers at breakfast, and a garden to think in.
Why a private villa beats a hotel for company groups
In a hotel, a team of fifteen is spread over several floors and shares the pool, the bar and the lobby with everyone else. Confidential conversations retreat to a hired meeting room with no window.
In a private villa the whole estate is yours. A strategy session can run in a salon in the morning and carry on over lunch on a shaded terrace, and dinner is cooked in the same house by a chef who knows the group's dietary needs.
The costs are simpler too. You pay one nightly rate for the whole house rather than a rate per head plus room hire, and daily housekeeping, utilities and taxes are included on every villa we book. A private chef, drivers and airport transfers can be arranged on request.
Count bedrooms, not the "sleeps" figure
Villa listings quote how many guests a house sleeps, and that number assumes couples and families sharing. Colleagues rarely share, so the figure that matters for a corporate retreat is the bedroom count.
A villa that sleeps 28 in 14 suites is a 14-person offsite if everyone has a room of their own. Decide early whether anyone will share twin rooms, because it can put a smaller house, and a smaller bill, within reach.
Then check three things before you shortlist: a room that seats the whole team, Wi-Fi that holds up on video calls, and a table where everyone can eat together. Every villa below lists Wi-Fi; ask us to confirm speeds, screens and seating for your headcount.
Villas for large groups of 20 or more
Villa Katia is the largest house in our collection: 22 rooms for up to 50 guests on 10,000 square metres, about 15 minutes' drive from central Marrakech. It has two heated pools, a spa, a fitness room, a tennis court and an office, and the whole property can be privatised for events. It is listed from £4,000 a night.
Palace Shayanne on the Ouarzazate road has 22 suites for 44 guests on a 20,000 square metre plot. Five living rooms and several dining areas let a large team split into working groups, and there is a gym, three bars and an underground wellness area with a hammam and sauna. It is listed from £2,500 a night, about £114 per bedroom.
Dar Sabra Estate in the Palmeraie has 22 rooms for 44 guests, around 10 minutes from the medina. Two hectares of gardens hold more than 60 works of art, alongside three outdoor pools, a gym and a clay tennis court. It is listed from £8,000 a night.
Ksar Zaytoune Estate on the Fez road sleeps 40 in 20 bedrooms, with an office, library, spa and sauna. It is listed from £7,000 a night.
Colleagues rarely share, so size a corporate retreat by bedrooms, not by how many a house sleeps.
Villas for teams of 10 to 15
Beyt Rim is the most meeting-ready house in the collection. It has 11 suites on 8,000 square metres, a meeting room equipped with modern amenities, two pools, a spa, a hammam and a fitness area, and it is a 10-minute drive from Gueliz. It is listed from £1,350 a night.
Medalion Palace on the Amizmiz road is a 15-minute drive from Menara Airport, which keeps transfers short on a long weekend. Four suites in the main house and ten separate pavilions give 14 private rooms with Atlas views, and a chef and staff are included. It is listed from £1,500 a night, or £1,900 from October to January.
Palais Monte sits in 11,000 square metres of parkland in the Palmeraie, less than 5 km from the city centre, with 15 bedrooms. It has an office, a gym, a basketball court and a hammam, and the estate can be fully privatised. It is listed from £8,000 a night.
Villas for leadership offsites
Albaicin Palace suits a board or senior team of about ten who want separate space for work and rest. Its two hectares hold two villas, with six suites in the main house and four rooms in the La Granada guest house, plus a 26-metre pool, a cinema room, an office, and a resident team led by a director and a chef. It is 20 minutes from the city centre and listed from £2,500 a night.
Palace Montbel has nine suites set among olive orchards with open views of the Atlas mountains, about 30 minutes from Menara Airport. Garden salons, a semi-Olympic pool and 24/7 security make it a quiet, private setting for a small leadership team.
How to plan a Marrakech team offsite
Start with the dates. Marrakech has a hot semi-arid climate, with average temperatures from around 12°C in winter to 26–30°C in summer, so spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons for outdoor sessions. The largest houses are few, so book popular months early.
Next, send us your headcount, the number of bedrooms you need, a budget per night and your dates. The concierge replies with a shortlist of three or four houses, and we confirm availability within four hours.
Build the programme around the house. A three-night offsite might open with arrival and a welcome dinner, give day two to morning sessions and a hammam or pool afternoon, and take day three out to the Atlas foothills or the Agafay desert before a final dinner. Larger groups will need several vehicles for the day out.

How many people can a Marrakech villa host for a corporate retreat?
The largest estates in our collection sleep 40 to 50 guests in 20 to 22 bedrooms, enough for a team of about 20 with a room each. Most company groups of 10 to 15 fit well in a villa with 11 to 15 bedrooms.
