Résidence Akenza · Marrakech

Villa Solana

Villa Solana's party trick reveals itself the moment you step onto the deck: the pool is fed by a waterfall that spills from the raised terrace, with a sunken timber lounge built into the deck beside it. The Résidence Akenza around it is exclusive and calm, with the Atlas on the horizon and the city a short drive away.

The house runs 450 square metres over two storeys of marble, travertine and warm walnut — a double-height living room with a stone fireplace wall, a dining room for eight under a sculptural pendant, and a kitchen in veined stone. Upstairs, a gallery landing leads to four bedrooms, each with an en-suite in stone and glass, plus a walk-in dressing room.

Cleaning and bed linen are included, with air conditioning, WiFi, a brazier for winter evenings and private parking. A chef, in-villa spa treatments, a chauffeured minivan and excursions — buggies, camels, the Ouzoud falls — are arranged on request.

Rates: from £400 per night through the year, rising to £500 per night over the festive Christmas and New Year period. Prices are for the whole villa.
